The current glove firmware v0.0.6 still requires a wired connection for updates. The data cable is connected to the Type-C connector near the little finger end of the glove.
Update notifications will appear as a pop-up window at the top of the main menu. All users are strongly encouraged to complete the upgrade as soon as possible.
To avoid software and firmware version incompatibility, please follow the update sequence and complete both software and all four firmware updates.
After the update, the right-hand glove may experience disconnection. Please manually pair it again.
Firmware Update Depends on Driver Version: Only the latest version of the driver can update the glove and receiver firmware to the latest version. Please ensure your driver is updated to the latest version for the full update experience.
Only wired connections are supported for retrieving glove firmware information. Firmware information can only be obtained and firmware updates can only be performed under a wired connection.
After obtaining the glove information, both wireless and wired update methods are supported. Switching between update methods is not allowed during the update process. When the wireless receiver and VR glove are connected, the system will automatically check for updates. If a new version is available, simply click Firmware Update to update online.
Please make sure to connect to the computer as shown in the image to perform the firmware upgrade.
Please follow the steps below to complete the firmware update for your UDCAP glove:
Make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest UDCAP software (version 1.4.2).
You can get the updated version from the official download center.
Plug the dongle into a USB port on your computer.
Use the data cable to connect the glove to your computer.
Please be sure to plug the cable into the Type-C port located near the pinky finger side of the glove. (show as 【c. Firmware Update Reminder:】)
❗ Plugging into the wrong port will cause the UDCAP software to fail to recognize the glove.
Open the UDCAP software, and once the device is recognized, click the “Update Firmware” button to start the upgrade.
Do not disconnect the glove during the firmware update process.
After the firmware update, the glove will automatically restart, which is normal.
Pairing the Wireless Receiver with the VRGlove (Software Version V0.1.4 and Above)
Notes:
Software v0.1.4 and above, Firmware v0.0.6 and above
Wireless Receivers are hand-agnostic:Receiver becomes left/right based on the connected glove.
Pairing
To use the pairing function, the following conditions must be met:
Software version V0.1.4 or above, firmware version V0.0.6 or above.
Glove firmware version must be V0.0.6 (both left and right gloves need to be updated; please refer to [Firmware Update] for details).
The current version of the signal receiver does not distinguish between left and right hands; it fully depends on which glove it is connected to. If the signal receiver is connected to the left glove, it will be recognized as the left signal receiver, and similarly for the right hand.
Operation Procedure
Insert only one wireless receiver.
Power on only the left glove.
On the firmware update interface, click Pairing.
Note: After clicking Pairing, do not click 【Complete】 on the pairing interface using the mouse. Keep this interface open and follow the on-screen prompts to operate the glove.
When this status appears, it means the signal receiver is pairing. Please do not click 【Complete】.
While the glove is powered on, press and hold the glove’s power button for about 6 seconds, until the two lights on the glove control box flash green, indicating that the glove has entered pairing mode. Once pairing is successful, the interface will automatically switch to the Pairing Successful screen. Click Close to complete the process.
Note: While the glove is powered on, press and hold the left glove’s power button for about 7 seconds, until the two lights on the glove control box flash green.
(If the lights do not flash, it means either you did not hold long enough or the glove firmware version is below 0.0.6).
Unplug the left signal receiver and power off the left glove.
Insert the other signal receiver and power on the right glove.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 to complete pairing of the right glove.
Notes:
Software v0.1.4 and above, Firmware v0.0.6 and above
Switch channels only after successful connection (prevents disconnection)
Procedure:
Ensure stable connection (troubleshoot via [Pairing] if failed).
Select channel via dropdown menu → Glove auto-reconnects (wait for 3~5s).
Critical Notes: ① Left/right must use different channels: → If accidentally set to same channel: Unplug one receiver, and then modify channel while solo-connected (Failure to reconnect? Redo pairing.) ② During channel switching, ensure the RSSI signal strength indicator is green. Yellow or red signal levels may cause glove channel switching failure. If switching fails, re-pairing is required.(Known issue,Fix scheduled in future update.)
