Click Settings - Startup/Shutdown - Manage Add-Ons, and ensure the udcap driver is enabled.
When the Udcap glove icon appears in the SteamVR device bar, it means the driver is effective.
Using Tracker 3.0 as an example, turn on the locator and connect it to SteamVR. Set the locator to handheld in SteamVR and assign left and right hands.
The Udcap glove icon highlighted in the SteamVR device bar means the locator and glove are successfully bound.
After connecting to steamVR using SteamLink, open the UDCAP driver and perform calibration. Once calibration is complete, the gloves can be used in place of the Quest controller.
If after successfully connecting to steamVR with Quest headset, steamVR does not recognize the gloves, the gloves can not be operated in place of the Quest joystick. In this case, you need to start the UDCAP_overlay.exe file in your installation path\UdcapDriver\udcap\bin\win64 file.
How to find it: Right mouse click on UdcapDriver icon, Properties - Open the file location
Find the udcap folder in the UdcapDriver folder and open bin→win64.
Note: You need to successfully connect to steamVR first and make sure the quest grip is working properly before you can open the glove and open the Udcap driver.
Click the Connect SteamVR button on the Udcap Driver software. When the SteamVR icon is highlighted, it means the connection is successful.
