Meta Quest Headsets: Controller Tracking Plan Settings
Devices Used:
Quest 3
UDCAP VR Gloves
The devices listed above are used in this tutorial demonstration. You can substitute them with devices that have similar functionality.
1. Launch UDCAP Software as Administrator
Right-click the UDCAP software icon and select "Run as Administrator."
2. Launch Steam (Administrator privileges) and Run SteamVR
Run Steam as an administrator and start SteamVR, ensuring full permissions to prevent plugin loading failures.
3. Enable UDCAP Plugin
In SteamVR, go to: Settings → Startup/Shutdown → Manage Add-ons, find the ucap plugin, and ensure it is enabled.

4. Launch SteamLink
In the Quest headset, launch the SteamLink streaming software and connect to SteamVR.

5. Configure Tracking Plan
In the UDCAP Software → Spatial Position, select the Quest Tracking Plan.

If you are using a different tracking method, please select the appropriate plan according to your devices. For more details, refer to the "Software Features - Spatial Position" section.
6. Launch udcap_overlay.exe as Administrator
If, after successfully connecting a self-tracking headset (e.g., Quest series, Pico series) to SteamVR, SteamVR does not recognize the glove and the glove cannot replace the Quest controller for operation, you will need to launch the UDCAP_overlay.exe file located in your installation path.
To locate the file: Right-click the UdcapDriver icon, select Properties, and click Open File Location.

Launch UDCAP_overlay.exe as Administrator!
7. Verify Connection Success
After setup, the glove icon in the SteamVR main interface will be highlighted. This indicates that the glove is correctly connected.
